Job Title: Senior Buyer

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist to manage procurement across the bathroom and tile industry.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management at a senior level, with in-depth knowledge of bathroom products and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Sourcing and Supplier Management: Source and select suppliers for bathroom products, tiles, and related materials across Ireland and Europe.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and secure competitive advantages.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to balance product availability with minimizing excess stock.
  • Trend Identification and Analysis: Identify and track new market trends, innovations, and eco-friendly solutions within the bathroom and tile sector.
  • Supplier Evaluation and Performance Management: Evaluate supplier performance, product quality, and service levels on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with showroom, sales, installation, and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan procurement.
  • Logistics and Delivery: Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Procurement Systems and Record Keeping: Manage procurement systems, purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Supplier Audits and Relationship Management: Participate in supplier audits, product selection for showroom displays, and supplier relationship management.
  • Budgeting and Financial Reporting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for procurement activities.
  • Supply Chain Issue Resolution: Resolve supply chain issues promptly to avoid customer impact or project delays.
  • Industry Events and Networking: Attend national and international trade shows, product seminars, and supplier site visits.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in senior-level procurement roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of bathroom products and industry trends.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
