We are seeking a senior professional with exceptional clinical and academic skills to provide care to rehabilitation patients in a multidisciplinary setting. The role requires strong organisational abilities and a keen interest in developing management skills.

  • Provide expert nutritional assessments and individualized care plans for adults and older persons in rehabilitation, focusing on enhancing recovery and functional independence.
  • Deliver specialized dietary advice to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic procedures, supporting optimal recovery and healing.
  • Closely collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments, create and implement evidence-based interventions, and monitor patients' progress in both acute and rehabilitation settings.
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on the importance of nutrition in recovery, prevention, and long-term health.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols related to nutrition in rehabilitation and orthopaedic care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure best practices in nutritional care.
  • Mentor junior dietitians and other healthcare staff as required.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics or a recognised equivalent, be registered with CORU, and possess a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in clinical nutrition & dietetics services, with a minimum of 2 years in an acute healthcare setting.

The successful candidate will join a skilled interdisciplinary team across adult rehabilitation and elective orthopaedic services, where they will develop key clinical and competency-based skills in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
