Operations Director Role

The Operations Director will oversee daily operations for a residential services business, managing a team of 30–35 field engineers. Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating field engineers, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring timely service delivery, and resolving issues quickly to meet customer expectations.


Job Overview
  • This is a leadership position that requires proven experience in operations management within a service-based industry.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Team Management: Lead and coordinate field engineers, manage scheduling, tools, vehicles, and equipment.
  2. Service Delivery: Oversee day-to-day operations, implement efficient workflows, ensure timely service delivery, and resolve issues quickly to meet customer expectations.
  3. Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with the Customer Service Team to handle escalations, monitor feedback, and continuously improve service quality and responsiveness.
  4. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control operational costs, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership.
  5. Inventory & Supply Chain: Oversee inventory levels, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment to engineers.
  6. Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct audits, and ensure all team members are trained and compliant with health and safety standards.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in operations management within a service-based industry.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in budget management, KPIs, and operational reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
