The role of an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist is to ensure the safety, airworthiness, and operational readiness of aircraft. This involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine checks on aircraft systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with aircraft engines, landing gear, and airframes.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to guarantee aircraft safety and compliance.
- Diagnose technical problems and determine the necessary course of action for repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and document maintenance logs accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with flight crews to ensure timely and safe return of aircraft to service.
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, and facilities used in maintenance are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Serve as a mentor and supervisor to junior maintenance staff and technicians.
- Communicate effectively with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and technological advancements.
- Valid EASA Part 66 B1 License (or equivalent recognized by local aviation authorities).
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including engines, landing gear, airframes, and associated mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Minimum of three years of experience working on aircraft maintenance, repairs, or modifications.
- Experience with both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
