
Senior Disability Support Specialist

Are you passionate about helping individuals with disabilities achieve their full potential? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in supporting adults with physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our service users.
The successful candidate will provide specialist Occupational Therapy services across a spectrum of disability needs, with a focus on functional performance, independent living, and adaptive strategies. They will undertake environmental assessments, recommend assistive technologies or adaptations to promote safe community living, and lead on complex clinical cases within an interdisciplinary team.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a Min Level 8 qualification in Occupational Therapy approved by CORU and a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in disability services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, teamwork, and caseload management skills, as well as evidence of clinical expertise in working with adults with physical, sensory, and/or intellectual disabilities.
Responsibilities:- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy services for adults across a spectrum of disability needs
- Undertake environmental assessments and recommend assistive technologies or adaptations
- Lead on complex clinical cases within an interdisciplinary team
- Supervise and support junior occupational therapy staff, students, and therapy assistants as required
- Collaborate with family members, carers, residential staff, and community services to implement holistic interventions
- Min Level 8 qualification in Occupational Therapy approved by CORU
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in disability services
- Evidence of clinical expertise in working with adults with physical, sensory, and/or intellectual disabilities
