Job Opportunity

Alameda County is looking for skilled craftsmen to fill the role of Carpenter and Cabinetmaker. In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry and cabinetmaking, including installing, repairing, and maintaining building structures and fixtures.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand and power tools, as well as knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Additionally, they will be able to lift heavy objects and work at heights.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Modern methods, materials, hand and power tools, and equipment used in rough and finished carpentry and in cabinet making.
  • Building, Fire, Life Safety and OSHA safety codes.
  • General construction safety practices.
  • Hazardous Materials Awareness (asbestos, lead paint, MSDS).

Selection Process:
