
Sustainable Land Management Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our forestry team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing sustainable land management practices in woodland areas;
- Working with landowners, contractors, and officials to ensure the successful establishment of young forests;
- Building strong relationships with farmers, landowners, and communities to promote forest conservation and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology or a related Environmental Science field;
- Registration or ability to register with CIEEM;
- Full driving license;
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently;
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in email, word processing, and spreadsheet software;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people daily;
- A genuine interest in woodlands, the timber industry, and all types of trees.
Training and Support: The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training and support to excel in their role. A competitive salary package is offered, including subsistence allowance, bonus structure, and company pension scheme. Additionally, equipment necessary for the position will be provided.
Location and Work Arrangements: This role is based in Sligo, Ireland, with flexible working arrangements available, including hybrid options.
Environmental Focus: As an Ecologist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable land management practices, ensuring the long-term health and productivity of woodland ecosystems.
Forest Conservation: You will work closely with landowners, contractors, and officials to promote forest conservation and sustainability, developing strong relationships with farmers, landowners, and communities to achieve this goal.
