Overview
RPS, a Tetra Tech company is looking for a Civil Engineer (Circular Economy) to join our Design and Regeneration Team.

Our team have extensive experience in a wide range of waste and circular economy projects including; Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) of closed landfills and unregulated waste disposal sites and remediation design; Design of waste infrastructure including recycling, recovery, disposal and landfill sites; and Investigation of contaminated land and design and execution of remediation solutions.

What You Will Be Doing
You'll be working on a wide range of projects enabling you to develop your understanding of developing sustainable design solutions for waste infrastructure.
You'll have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from working with senior colleagues across RPS business units (e.g., Energy, Water, Transport, Geotechnical).
You will provide support to the team by developing designs, conducting site investigations, desk-based technical report writing, conducting site visits and appraisals, and assisting with management of project tasks.
You have been involved in leading and delivering waste design projects to a high standard.
Grow our business by strengthening relationships with existing clients and supporting expansion into new markets
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
Who We Are Looking For
We'd like you to have at least 5 years professional experience in a civils design role, ideally within a consultancy context in designing waste infrastructure or remediation projects.
You'll be confident providing and demonstrable experience delivering technical outputs to a high standard (e.g., reports, drawings, project plans).
Highly motivated with interest and ambition to further develop expertise in the design of waste infrastructure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Additional language skills a plus.
Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage your time and identify project priorities.
Be flexible and have a willingness to travel on occasion to client sites for meetings, surveys etc.
Current member of a professional body (e.g., Engineers Ireland) working toward chartered status.
Ability to work closely as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, with strong social and interpersonal skills.
A good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental management.
Have a full clean driving licence.
Leadership - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work closely with Clients to achieve high levels of satisfaction and win-win outcomes.
Project Management – Extensive experience in all aspects of delivering projects and programmes of work, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
Experience of leading, coaching and training project managers.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's Degree (BA/BSc/BE) or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
Chartered Engineer or close to attaining Chartership
