Job Overview

At Charlene Cooke Healthcare Recruitment Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Longford. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work with adults with disabilities and make a real difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify clients' strengths, needs, and vocational interests, developing tailored intervention plans to promote independence and skill development.
• Develop and implement personalized programs that address areas such as vocational skills, daily living activities, sensory, motor, or cognitive challenges impacting daily living and vocational performance.
• Provide clinical leadership and expertise in occupational therapy-related matters, managing resources and guiding junior staff to ensure quality and safety of services.
• Offer direct mentorship and clinical supervision to junior therapists and therapy assistants, facilitating their learning and development.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and employment specialists, to support clients in achieving their personal and professional goals.

Requirements:
• Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with at least one year in adult disability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues and service users.
• Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff or students is desirable.
• A full driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential.
