Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Windows Server Engineer to fill a day rate contract position in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, identity services, and resource governance within a hybrid cloud context.
  • Manage Exchange Online features, including user mailbox provisioning, permissions, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and resource calendars.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Deploy, monitor, and support virtualization platforms like Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Support enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions, encompassing both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Assist in designing and delivering infrastructure enhancement projects.
  • Monitor and support network connectivity, with knowledge of core networking protocols and firewall configurations.
  • Manage SSL certificates across internal and public-facing systems, ensuring renewal schedules, certificate chain integrity, and compliance with security standards.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices, including patching, account controls, vulnerability remediation, endpoint/server hardening, and secure configuration baselines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the specified location or hold a valid long-term work visa.
  • Eligible candidates will possess relevant skills and experience in Wintel server engineering, Microsoft Azure, Exchange Online, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
