Financial Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, including statutory and management reporting, financial controls, and day-to-day accounting operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Company Accountant, providing support across management accounts, audit requirements, process improvement initiatives, and various ad-hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Process and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Manage bank accounts and perform reconciliations.
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments.
  • Post and review journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Ensure tax compliance and prepare returns, including Intrastats/VIES.
  • Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Prepare grants and reports.
  • Provide financial analysis and commentary for decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial reporting as required.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, preferably within an industry environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP B1 would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A proactive and professional attitude, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
