Job Title: Senior Transportation Planner

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced transportation planner to lead the development and implementation of public transport infrastructure in regional cities across Ireland.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for redesigning local bus networks in metropolitan areas, including changes to bus terminal locations and sizes.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work with various stakeholders, including Transport Operators, Local Authorities, and other teams to ensure the successful implementation of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as project lead for activities involved in securing terminals and delivering new and altered bus terminals.
  • Maintain comprehensive lists of new and altered bus terminals, including feasibility assessments and choice of preferred options.
  • Oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of new and altered bus terminals, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Liaise with other teams and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and delivery of projects.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Civil/Traffic Design Engineer or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale transportation projects from conception to completion.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site presence at various locations nationwide, minimum 20% of the time.
  • Sometimes require working in Clients office in Dublin City Centre.
