Head of Supply Chain Optimization

Achieve outstanding commercial results in supply and insurance performance by driving revenue growth, cost efficiency, and optimization of supplier negotiations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans, leveraging data analytics and financial modeling expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of advanced supply commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Leadership of supply performance optimization initiatives, targeting P&L improvements and cost reductions through effective negotiation and trading strategies.
• Development of insurance performance enhancement strategies, working closely with insurance and partner trading teams to design and implement multi-year plans.
• Strategic insights and leadership skills are essential for delivering sustainable commercial outcomes and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
• Reporting to Director of Business Strategy & Operations.

Accountabilities and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Delivery of Car Rental Supply Commercial Strategy, acting as a conduit between Business Strategy, Supply, and Partner Trading Teams.
• Set and manage execution of top-tier Car Supplier commercial negotiation and trading strategies, implementing a pipeline of innovative supply products.
• Optimization of Car Rental Supply Performance, setting and hitting Car Supply P&L performance targets/KPIs aligned with Partner Trading Squad objectives.
• Responsible for supplier unit margin enhancement, managing costs inputs such as insurance claims, chargebacks, and customer service fees, while optimizing commission and rebate revenue performance across the Supply base.
• Development of a strategy for enhanced insurance profitability and optimization of a suite of insurance performance KPIs centrally tracked.
• Act as Business function commercial lead and representative with Revenue Management teams to make active choices on Car Supplier and Insurance product pricing, content management, marketing funds, loyalty campaigns, CRM campaigns, digital marketing, sort optimization, supplier marketing initiatives, etc., to achieve P&L targets.
• Coordinate data analysis and hypothesis testing with Business Strategy team Commercial Analysts to uncover and address Car Supplier and Insurance Product trading opportunities and overcome performance challenges.
• Stakeholder communication and cross-functional alignment are crucial for delivering performance enhancements and meeting organizational goals.
• Cross-functional collaboration with peers and team leaders to define and prioritize performance optimization opportunities, including P&T, Data Science, and MVT testing roadmaps to support Supply and Insurance target achievement.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role with commercial performance ownership.
• Strong data analytics and financial modeling skills, with the ability to build and own financial models and scenario analysis.
• Commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with a proven history of delivering advanced negotiation strategies and positive commercial outcomes from negotiations.
• Cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-domain subject matter experts to drive revenue growth and achieve sustained cost efficiencies.
• Strategic program design and implementation experience, with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver positive commercial outcomes against committed timelines.
• Proven people leadership and performance management skills, with the ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
• Influence and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with diverse stakeholders, building buy-in and clarity on performance strategies.
