Senior Construction Estimator Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Construction Estimator to join our client, a leading Irish building contractor working on a broad range of building projects in the healthcare, education, industry, construction and leisure sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management and at least 2 years' experience in a similar role on construction projects. They will be able to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites and have sub-contractor experience.

The successful candidate will advise and report regularly to Commercial Manager, advise on contractual matters, identify contract grounds for claim and negotiate sub-contractors. They will also ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner, identify and investigate losses, look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costs, and prepare commercial/contractual correspondence.

In this role, you will liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives while on site, including attendance at meetings. You will need to have strong time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, a strong understanding of the construction industry and the ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goals.

This is a full-time permanent staff role with great career prospects. The salary for this position is negotiable dependent on experience & qualifications.
