The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience working with children with disabilities and a strong understanding of the complexities involved.

The successful candidate will be a member of a Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) and will work closely with other professionals to support children within a defined catchment.

The role involves providing psychology services, including assessment and intervention, to children attending services. The post holder will also be responsible for collaborating with families to enhance their understanding and support of their child's needs.

Salary

The salary for this role is €91,190 to €107,186 per annum, pro rata, and is subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments). Annual Leave Entitlement is 34 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

Job Description

The Senior Psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist support to children and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality assessment and intervention services for children attending services.
  • Collaborating with other professionals to develop and implement individualised plans for each child.
  • Providing family-centred support to enhance their understanding and support of their child's needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants must have:

  • A university degree or diploma (QQI level 8 equivalent) in Psychology.
  • An Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology.
  • At least five years' experience in professional psychology.
