Data Center Engineer

About the Role

This role involves direct supervision of IT technical third-party vendors, ensuring safety and schedule adherence. It also requires collaboration with Data Center Architects and Infrastructure Managers to identify delays, non-compliance, or risks to project timelines or quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of IT technical third-party vendors, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate with Data Center Architects and Infrastructure Managers to identify delays, non-compliance, or risks to project timelines or quality.
  • Oversee implementation with design partners, construction companies, and installers to ensure delivery meets specifications and service levels.
  • Maintain clear communication between internal teams, third-party vendors, and stakeholders, both locally and remotely.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data centers, hosting, or telecom environments.
  • Deep understanding of:
  • IT infrastructure and cabling standards.
  • Networking fundamentals and TCP/IP.
  • IT equipment such as servers, switches, and other network devices.
  • Solid experience with MEP systems in data center contexts.
  • Experience in regulated (GxP) environments.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in reading SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), reviewing red-line drawings, and using document management systems.
  • Strong documentation skills and structured work ethic.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO and BS standards.
