Automation Technical Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Automation Technical Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity for a professional with technical expertise in automation systems and equipment. You will provide expert support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services to customers across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide remote diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions on automation systems.
  • Travel to client sites to perform installations, repairs, and upgrades on automation systems.
  • Correct complex problems/malfunctions to PLC/SCADA and/or computer-controlled installations.
  • Conduct failure analysis in automation via online diagnosis, investigate the root cause of failures, and take corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the automation industry, including technical support and service.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an automation role in an industrial setting.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native).
  • Ability to work in The Netherlands and other European countries without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Inductive Automation Ignition, Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PlantPAx, or FactoryTalk, Emerson DeltaV, Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure, PowerSCADA, or Power Monitoring Expert (PME), AVEVA System Platform or AVEVA PI Historian System, Siemens S7, PCS7, or WinCC, VMWare, Cisco or Fortinet Networking and Firewalls.
Work Environment:

This role is based in Utrecht, Netherlands and may include up to 100% travel.
