About the Role

Matrix Recruitment Group is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Tendering Engineer to join their organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing necessary documents, drawings, calculations, and cost estimates in line with customer requirements.

The Electrical Tendering Engineer will report to the Commercial Manager and will liaise frequently with the Design Team. Key duties & responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates based on project specifications, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracting.
  • Evaluating the financial and manufacturing feasibility of the project.
  • Identifying and addressing commercial and technical risks.
  • Communicating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for necessary information and clarifications.
  • Attending pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
  • Transferring winning tenders to Customer Service, noting milestones, risks, and any non-standard aspects.
  • Ensuring tender documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Providing technical support and clarifications during the evaluation and negotiation phases.
  • Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and business opportunities.
