Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing site operations on a day-to-day basis ensuring work is done safely, on time and to the highest quality standard.

The successful candidate will have a background in all aspects of construction and be able to deliver a quality product to the end user while fostering professional and amicable relations with design teams and client representatives.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the client's expectations are met, maintaining the highest standards in health & safety, quality and client service, reporting progress accurately and in a timely fashion, managing and coordinating subcontractors, planning and co-ordinating works, and delivering projects as per contract documents.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Client Expectations are Met: Deliver a quality product to the end user while fostering professional and amicable relations with design teams and client representatives.
  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure the highest standards in health & safety, quality and client service are maintained at all times.
  • Report Progress: Report progress accurately and in a timely fashion to the Contracts Manager.
  • Manage Subcontractors: Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure their work is completed to the required standard with little or no rework.
  • Plan and Coordinate Works: Plan and coordinate works to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standard.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant Qualifications: Minimum of 2-5 years experience acting in the role of Site Manager, with relevant qualifications in Construction/Project Management (desirable).
  • Construction Industry Knowledge: Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
  • Communication Skills: Good communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commercially conscious individual who demonstrates market and competitor awareness.
  • Leadership Skills: Self-starter with good judgment when working under pressure, and the ability to motivate and drive the workforce.
