Process Improvement Specialist Job

This is a key position within a newly created team responsible for delivering process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across multi-jurisdictions. The role will play an important part in fostering a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of methodologies and supporting frameworks to deliver business transformation.

  • To identify and deliver service improvement activities across the business using process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.
  • To work with stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment to support ongoing programmes of change.
  • To support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency by identifying and eliminating unnecessary complexity within business processes and identifying better ways of working.
  • To establish a continuous monitoring system and identify trends and process variations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via governance and controls. They will elicit requirements and drive process change using various methods such as staff interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, and business process descriptions.

  • To devise new support material based on revised processes, including training, reporting, and systems enhancements.
  • To monitor project risks and foresee potential problems to proactively identify solutions.
  • To ensure the business impact and project objectives/dependencies are identified, reported on, and managed.
  • To set up programmes, deliver coaching, and run projects.
  • To complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and improvements for future projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the same field or capacity.
  • Client-focused solutions experience, project management skills, and ability to communicate client needs.
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts, including Six Sigma, Lean, Process Excellence, Collaboration, Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Open-Mindedness, Critical Thinking, Solution Orientation, Entrepreneurship, AI Proficiency, Data Literacy, and PowerPoint/Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Experience of the whole project life cycle and stakeholder management skills.
  • Possession of COPC, PMP, or Lean 6Sigma certifications is preferable.
