Job Title: General Ledger Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a General Ledger Accountant. This is a 12 month contract opportunity that will provide the successful candidate with a chance to work in a dynamic and growing Shared Service Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of all related transactions.
  • Manage monthly US GAAP reporting.
  • Prepare relevant balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to resolve issues.
  • Monitor and resolve cash management items.
  • Review bank reconciliations as necessary.
  • Handle large volumes of data and manage manual recharges.
  • Take full responsibility for several balance sheet account reconciliations and intercompany balances.
  • Ensure all intercompany transactions are supported by agreements.
  • Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley requirements across the Shared Service Centre.
  • Provide excellent customer service by partnering with key business unit finance staff.

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with statutory accounts and audit experience.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley and ERP systems experience.
  • Proven track record in business partnership and high-volume reconciliation experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of GA processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good attendance and timekeeping record.
  • Technical competence and fluency in English.
  • A positive approach to problem-solving with financial and commercial awareness.
