The role of a Support Worker is to provide high-quality care services in the community.
About The RoleAs an independent provider, our mission is to empower individuals to live valued lives of optimal independence and participation within their homes and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide domestic and personal care to service users in their own homes.
- Work in cooperation with various professionals and service users and/or carers in providing agreed care plans.
- Empower service users to remain independent in their homes, to promote community inclusion and enhance the quality of life of service users.
- Assist service users with personal care and practical needs.
- Review and monitor service users' health and well-being.
- Form a therapeutic relationship and rapport with service users and maintain a positive, constructive, and professional relationship.
- Ensure service user safety through a high level of observation skills, accurate recording, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, caring nature.
- Ability to write and speak English to a high standard.
- Flexible and adaptable nature.
- Willingness to travel for providing care to service users in the community.
- Person-centred approach to supporting service users in home care.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Availability to work a variety of shift types over 24/7.
- FETAC 5 qualification in Care Skills or willingness to work towards completing FETAC modules.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Driver's license.
