We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Lawnfield House, a residential care facility for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, or older adults. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the highest standards of care, ensuring the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents are met.

About Us:

Lawnfield House is registered with the RQIA to provide residential respite care for up to 20 residents. We operate a No Smoking Policy and adhere to a Christian ethos, promoting respect and understanding for the needs of our residents.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide support and encouragement to residents, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment, adhering to Health and Safety practices.
  • Participate in relevant training, such as induction training and NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

Requirements:

  • Evidence of understanding and respect for the needs of older people or those with learning and physical disabilities.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety practices within a working environment.
  • Proficiency in understanding, communicating, and writing in English to the required level.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties at night and weekends.
  • Satisfactory Access NI check and registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council within six months of appointment.
