As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the highest standards of care, ensuring the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents are met.
About Us:
Lawnfield House is registered with the RQIA to provide residential respite care for up to 20 residents. We operate a No Smoking Policy and adhere to a Christian ethos, promoting respect and understanding for the needs of our residents.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide support and encouragement to residents, promoting independence and dignity.
- Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment, adhering to Health and Safety practices.
- Participate in relevant training, such as induction training and NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
Requirements:
- Evidence of understanding and respect for the needs of older people or those with learning and physical disabilities.
- Awareness of Health and Safety practices within a working environment.
- Proficiency in understanding, communicating, and writing in English to the required level.
- Ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties at night and weekends.
- Satisfactory Access NI check and registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council within six months of appointment.
