Role/ Department:

The Alternatives Financial Reporting team at Northern Trust supports all Private Equity, Real Estate, and Infrastructure clients by delivering high-quality financial reporting services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a new department set up to service all Alternatives clients under one team, with exposure to the three previously separate areas in Alternatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver high-quality financial reporting services to customers by accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks and requests for information.
  2. Support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures for funds on a quarterly, semi-annual, and/or annual basis.
  3. Liaison with external auditors and dealing with audit queries.
  4. Preparation of regulatory returns where applicable, including Central Bank returns.
  5. Ensure agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to build scalable financial reporting operations models.
Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  1. Accounting experience within the Investment Industry with exposure to financial reporting.
  2. An appreciation of accounting principles is desirable, qualified accountant or part qualified and interested in completing their qualification advantageous.
  3. Ability to work in a structured pattern, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Excellent desktop, IT, and systems skills. Experience of Yardi and/or Investran advantageous.
