Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Instructor in our organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of our service users, including arts, crafts, social skills, woodwork, cookery, horticulture, and independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and deliver engaging learning modules that adapt to the preferences and abilities of our service users.
  • Support the management team in delivering training programs, focusing on specific skills, social development, personal care, and community integration.
  • Evaluate and improve program effectiveness to ensure alignment with New Directions Interim standards.
  • Act as a senior representative in the absence of the management team as directed.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • A Level 8 qualification in Teaching, Nursing, Applied Social Studies, Social Care, Psychology, or Behaviour Analysis.
  • Alternatively, a Level 7 qualification with relevant studies and at least 4 years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, including autism.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with complex needs and communication difficulties.
  • A background in education and training, with the ability to instruct service users in various programs.
  • A valid full driving license.
