Senior Bridge Design Specialist

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Programme Manager, Project Manager and other design engineers in the delivery of structural engineering projects. Duties will include the provision of civil / structural drawings, designs, specifications, bills of quantity and engineering reports, primarily for bridge structures.
- Carry out structural assessments and produce reports
- Prepare outline and detailed structural designs for the refurbishment of existing bridges and new bridges (including foot bridges)
- Oversee CAD technicians, reviewing and marking up drawings
- Work closely with external design teams, resident engineers and contractors to ensure schemes are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with industry standards, company policies and government legislation
Qualifications and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering and be a member of Engineers Ireland or similar body. They should also have experience in a Civil or Structural Design Engineer role, including relevant structural design software such as LUSAS, Tekla Tedds, SLOPE and WALLAP. Additionally, they should have strong working knowledge of relevant design standards, Eurocodes, TII standards and health and safety regulations.

Working Arrangements
This position requires a driving licence and good working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and AutoDesk Civils 3D.
