Intellectual Disability Support Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Intellectual Disability Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Main Duties- Care Provision
You will be responsible for the general well-being of service users in care, providing physical, psychological, and social support as needed. This may include recognizing and reporting any physical, social, or emotional problems and assisting in the implementation of programs to address these issues.
Leadership and SupervisionYou will manage, develop, and support staff individually and as a team, including induction, supervisory support, and training. You will also lead and develop team members in supporting person-centered plans and problem-solving to achieve desired outcomes.
Communication and TeamworkYou will foster effective communication systems both formally and informally with residents, colleagues, families, and stakeholders. You will also promote dignity at work and show respect to residents, colleagues, families, and stakeholders in the course of your duty.
Driving and Vehicle UseYou will be required to drive Foundation transport (mini-bus) and must have a full clean driving license. You will also indemnify the Foundation on your motor insurance policy.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A qualification in Nursing and registration with An Bord Altranais (R.N.I.D. qualification desirable)
- The ability to work on your own initiative and supervise service users/staff
