Job Title: Senior Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated logistics professional to oversee transport activities across a busy multi-drop distribution network in North Dublin.

This is a hands-on role that will involve close interaction with both drivers and the wider operations team to deliver on-time, safe, and cost-effective services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day transport operations, ensuring the timely and efficient dispatch of vehicles.
  • Manage driver rosters, attendance, and performance to ensure coverage and high service standards.
  • Monitor vehicle utilisation and route planning to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all transport legislation, including tachograph regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • Liaise with customers to resolve any delivery issues quickly and professionally.
  • Conduct regular vehicle and driver audits, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process and service enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate transport records, including driver hours, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to drivers and transport team members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a transport or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of road transport legislation and compliance standards in Ireland.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including availability to work weekends as part of the roster.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges.
  • Full clean driving licence (CPC desirable but not essential).
