About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Rehabilitation Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our community-based rehabilitation service, you will work closely with individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) to co-create personalized rehabilitation plans that reflect their goals, strengths, and values.

Your expertise in functional and therapeutic assessments, along with your ability to design tailored interventions and provide practical solutions, will be instrumental in empowering individuals to regain independence and dignity. Your passion for promoting autonomy and supporting individuals with ABI will shine through in your work, making a lasting impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on functional and therapeutic assessments to understand individual needs and goals
  • Design and implement tailored rehabilitation programmes reflecting the values and aspirations of each person served
  • Provide education and emotional support to families and carers navigating life after brain injury
  • Share knowledge through training and supervision to empower staff and students in delivering person-centred care
  • Advocate for each individual's voice to be heard, linking them with local services and supports enhancing their quality of life
Requirements
  • Professional registration as an Occupational Therapist with at least 4 years post-qualification experience
  • A strong background in community rehabilitation and disability services, with insight into the lived experience of people with ABI
  • A passion for promoting independence and co-setting meaningful, achievable goals with each person served
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening deeply, writing clearly, and presenting with purpose
