Senior Technical Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Operations Manager to lead our team in ensuring optimal performance of our data centres.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of onsite generation and power provision activities, including technical expertise in mechanical and electrical services operations, maintenance management, and leadership of technical staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background/experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, 5+ years' experience in the data centre industry, and direct experience managing data centre mechanical and electrical services.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical services operations
  • Manage mechanical and electrical services maintenance for assigned facilities and contribute to operating and capital budgets
  • Lead technical staff, including direct employees, outsourced supply partners, and external contractors
  • Assist in operations and maintenance issues, troubleshooting, and problem-solving as required
  • Develop and maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts with change control, external service providers, and contractors

Requirements:

  • Strong background/experience in mechanical and electrical engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in the data centre industry
  • Direct experience managing data centre mechanical and electrical services and contributing to site availability and continuous improvement
  • Thorough understanding of data centre critical mechanical and electrical system infrastructure
