Accounts Assistant Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team.

  • Bank Reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for the airport's bank accounts and accurately post all related transactions to the finance system.
  • Supplier Reconciliations: Reconcile the airport's central billing accounts on a regular basis.
  • Cash Handling Duties: Perform bank lodgement reconciliations and car park lodgements as required, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ledger Assistance: Provide support with the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger as needed, helping to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Finance Queries: Respond promptly and effectively to finance-related queries from colleagues and management.
  • Adhoc Finance Projects: Collaborate with the finance team on various projects, including process improvements, system reviews, and efficiency measures.

Requirements:

  • A degree in business or finance, or equivalent experience as an accounting technician or part-qualified accountant.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance role, with a proven track record of delivering results under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A self-motivated individual with a 'can-do' approach, able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and achieving company goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
