Pharmaceutical Operations Lead

As a key member of our team, we are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Specialist to lead and embed Lean methodologies across our pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Cork, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost by implementing efficient processes and reducing waste.
  • Design and deploy Lean tools tailored to pharmaceutical operations, leveraging expertise in 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Structured Problem Solving, Leader Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, and Waste elimination.
  • Coach and mentor people leaders to build lean leadership and CI capability through workshops, training sessions, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement.

Requirements for success include:

  • A degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or higher).

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive change and influence cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
