Job Opportunity: Sustainability Leader

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at a leading renewable energy organisation in Co. Offaly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the Environmental Health and Safety strategy to align with business operations and meet legal requirements.
  • Oversee systems and reporting for EHS compliance, including safety statements, incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support across operational sites for monitoring, sustainability compliance, and waste management.
  • Maintain certified EHS systems, liaising with regulators and accreditation bodies; report regularly to senior leadership.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through clear communication and continuous system improvement.
  • Lead and develop a skilled EHS team, ensuring strong structure, succession planning, and performance management.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 8 Qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental or equivalent discipline.
  • Membership of IOSH.
  • At least 8 years of experience at senior management level in H&S or Environmental with a proven track record of influencing senior and line management in relation to EHS Compliance.
