We are seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist to join our team in Ireland. As a key member of our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) department, you will be responsible for delivering environmental compliance and permitting services across various sectors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Permitting and Compliance Support: Provide expert advice to clients on legislative requirements, regulatory guidance, and best available techniques to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Regulator and Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication with regulatory bodies and stakeholders, assisting clients in fulfilling permit/licence obligations.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by building relationships with new and existing clients, expanding our service offerings.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality reviews of work completed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Mentorship and Professional Development: Mentor junior team members and emerging professionals in the field of permitting and compliance.

Requirements:
  • Education and Qualifications: A first degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrable experience in a consultancy role, particularly in delivering environmental compliance and permitting services.
  • Licensing Experience: Significant experience with Industrial Emissions / Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) licensing.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Extensive working knowledge of European environmental legislation related to EHS compliance consulting.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent report writing and technical review capabilities, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork and Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, proactive and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

Location and Work Arrangements:

The role is flexible in terms of base location, with options to work from our offices in Dublin, Cork, or Belfast, with hybrid working arrangements.
