Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving successful project outcomes and enhancing the company's reputation as a leading service provider.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide accurate cost advice and reporting to clients
  2. Deliver projects and commissions with minimal supervision
  3. Lead teams in setting objectives and priorities, promoting proactive collaboration
  4. Maintain effective communication to ensure project success, liaising with managers for efficient financial control
  5. Undertake commercial management services with autonomy
  6. Deliver work outputs accurately and timely
  7. Support team leaders in cost management of projects
  8. Represent the company professionally, meeting clients' expectations through negotiation and correspondence
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • MRICS Membership
  • Public Sector or Private Commercial Sector experience, ideally in healthcare, offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit-out, and refurbishment
  • Proficient in CostX or other Cost Planning software
  • Sustainability and Data Skills, including carbon assessment and Power BI
  • Pre- and post-contract experience
  • Excellent technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
