Senior Finance Director

We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Finance Director to lead financial and operational controls in retail and wholesale fuel sales and logistics.

  • Deliver strategic financial guidance to senior stakeholders
  • Implement innovative business processes
  • Manage financial and operating controls, accounting and management reporting
  • Ensure effective governance, risk management, and profitability from fuel pricing and distribution processes

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in finance leadership positions, with a track record of successfully leading and developing finance teams. They will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organisation.

About the Role:

  • Lead the implementation of all financial and operating controls, accounting and management reporting
  • Provide high-quality management information to colleagues managing divisions
  • Contribute to day-to-day decision making and support the Chief Supply Chain Officer in evaluating fuel tenders
  • Represent the organisation at industry forums and ensure alignment of its strategic position with wider sector developments

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a finance leadership position
  • Demonstrable track record in leading and developing a finance team
  • Evidence of delivering strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders
  • Previous success in implementing innovative business processes
  • Experienced in the use of an integrated financial system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • CIMA qualified accountant or equivalent
