Job Summary:
This is a Special Care Worker opportunity to provide short-term, therapeutic, and stabilizing care to young people at risk in a secure and supportive environment.
The units we work in offer higher staff-to-young-person ratios, often with on-site education and psychological input. Our innovative Safety Pods Initiative has been well-received by young people, providing a safe and dignified environment during challenging situations.
Requirements:- A Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline is required.
- Experience working with children is essential.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland is necessary.
- Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care is a must.
- CORU registration is highly desirable.
- This role offers a public service position with a high salary and pension scheme.
- Additional allowances are available.
- Working hours are 39 hours per week on a roster system (including day and night shifts).
- Annual leave entitlement is 23-26 days (pro-rata).
- Paid travel expenses are provided.
- Mandatory training is paid.
