Operational Excellence Lead

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead and embed Lean methodologies across our pharmaceutical manufacturing site.

The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of operations experience, with a strong background in designing, deploying, and sustaining Lean tools production systems.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Design and implement tailored Lean solutions to optimize pharmaceutical operations.
  • Coach and mentor teams to develop lean leadership, CI capability, and sustain improvements.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Promote and drive structured problem solving and root cause analysis across departments.
  • Lead and support Kaizen events and improvement projects.
  • Maintain visual management systems and standards.
  • Analyze value streams to identify waste and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Operations Management, Business Administration, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing operations.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or higher).
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GMP, FDA).
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean system design and deployment.
  • Excellent facilitation, training, and coaching skills with people leaders and all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Lean tools: 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Structured Problem Solving (e.g., DMAIC, A3), Leader Standard Work (LSW), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Mapping, Waste elimination.
  • Superb communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams and drive change effectively.
