Job Title: Mechanical Estimator PositionDescription

The role of a Mechanical Estimator is to estimate costs and manage project schedules for mechanical systems. This involves analyzing project plans, determining the scope of work required, and preparing accurate estimates of materials, labour, and equipment needed.

This position plays a key role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will need to develop strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other vendors to secure competitive pricing and services.

You will also collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify value engineering opportunities and optimize project schedules. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating with other traders to ensure accurate integration of all systems, developing proposals and bid packages, evaluating change orders, and conducting post-project cost analysis.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical estimating
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and project plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
