About the Role:

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing intervention for individuals presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.

You will work collaboratively with service owners, families, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care and provide individualized therapy plans, interventions, and recommendations in line with best practice and professional standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Audit and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties in children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
  2. Develop and implement effective therapy plans, interventions, and recommendations to improve communication skills.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways and onward referrals.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with HSE policies and HIQA standards.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
  • CORU registration.
  • 1 year post-qualification experience working with children/young adults with ID.
  • Fully qualified driver's license and access to a vehicle.
