We are seeking a highly experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team and lead our data-model comparison project on past storminess variability in Ireland. The successful candidate will work on a high-profile research project with international collaboration and opportunities for publication and conference presentation.
The HoStIr project has several strands, including testing new proxies for past sea spray deposition to coastal peatlands and developing multi-millennial records of past storminess for western Ireland. The advertised postdoctoral researcher will focus on the data-model comparison aspect of the project.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, and experience in working with large datasets. A strong background in climate science and/or palaeoclimate research is essential, and proficiency in R is required.
