
Lead Geotechnical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a Geotechnical Expert, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our projects.
You will have responsibility for client interface, technical direction, and management of junior engineers. You will also manage relationships with key clients and contacts across the business, including client liaison and development.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in Geotechnical design, Chartered status, and a degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in a Geotechnical related field. They will have a deep understanding of the principles of Geotechnical Engineering and earthworks.
In addition, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems and conceive innovative solutions. They will be experienced and confident with report writing and presentation skills, and able to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and outside agencies.
The candidate will be expected to adhere to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health and Safety Regulations, and represent and promote our organization in a professional manner.
Requirements- 5+ years' experience in Geotechnical design.
- Chartered status.
- Degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in a Geotechnical related field.
- Client interface and technical direction.
- Management of junior engineers.
- Relationship management with key clients and contacts.
- Project management within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Monitoring and managing compliance and KPIs.
- Tender submissions and estimating.
- Pricing and delivering against work targets.
- Compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Deep understanding of Geotechnical Engineering principles.
- Ability to understand complex problems and conceive innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with geotechnical software such as FREW, WALLAP, PLAXIS, SlopeW, Holebase, SEEPW.
