Automation Engineer, Lead

Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to lead the development and execution of software test automation infrastructure.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a solid software testing foundation, and experience with C#, SQL, and shell scripting languages.

This role requires a talented individual who is passionate about quality and has the ability to grasp tough issues quickly and deliver well-engineered solutions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop comprehensive test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specifications documents.
  2. Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
  3. Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  4. Align with Software Development Life Cycle practices and comply with Information Security and Data Governance practices.
  5. Interpret results of automation tests and document software defects in issue tracking systems.
  6. Provide testing leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement in the QA methodology and innovating new approaches to automation.
  7. Actively participate in agile software development processes and adhere to Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications:

Education: B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study or Business with an MIS background.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing in a process-driven technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience programming with C#, SQL, and shell scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation tests with Silk4Net strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using test cases, scripts, and automated test tools for verifying requirements on multi-tier applications.
