Portfolio Strategy Leader

We work with airlines in various countries, with an owned, managed, and committed fleet of aircraft.

The Role:
  • This role will shape our fleet by combining market assessment, commercial opportunity, and risk evaluation to advise on aircraft asset investment and disposal strategies.

This position will participate in setting our medium- to long-term business plan, including capital allocation targets for different aircraft types and vintages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify key macro industry and economic trends.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative assessments of future prospects for markets and regions.
  • Oversee sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive aircraft investment and divestment decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain investment cases and risk factors for all commercial aircraft types.
  • Contribute to setting acquisition and disposal strategy based on risk assessment.
Core Duties:
  • Analyze historic trends in macroeconomic data sets.
  • Develop and maintain quantitative models to identify and forecast key trends in commercial aircraft markets.
  • Perform market sizing exercises by growth channel and segment.
  • Collaborate to implement and evolve asset and jurisdictional risk frameworks.
  • Support management in setting risk-based capital allocation targets.

The ideal candidate has experience in product strategy, planning, portfolio management, or business development in a global aircraft leasing company, OEM, airline, or advisory. They possess a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and leadership abilities.

They should be able to evaluate investment cases, develop business plans, and combine strategic rationale with financial and risk analysis.

Able to distil complex messages into key takeaways, they should also possess excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and be an industry leader able to challenge and influence senior levels internally and externally.
