Job Overview

The role of Director IT Strategy involves leading and developing a cross-functional team to drive strategic portfolio management, prioritization, resource optimization, and effective execution of high-impact programs and initiatives aligned with business goals. As the Director of Strategy and Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and guiding portfolio priorities to ensure alignment of funding, capacity, and business needs.
  • Establishing governance, delivery rhythms, and ways of working that enable scalable, efficient execution across product, technology, and commercial teams.
  • Providing portfolio insights and decision support to reflect business impact and strategic value.
  • Managing risks and dependencies to maintain delivery continuity.
  • Leading transparent performance tracking and realignment to maximize outcomes and impact.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with GTS Solution Leads, Technical Program Managers, Architects, and Business Partners to align discovery and delivery with shared ownership for success, and evolving practices to embed fit-for-purpose frameworks and tools to elevate portfolio and program management maturity.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT/Business Systems, with a focus on strategy, portfolio management, and program management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Experience supporting customer solutions (Marketing, Sales Operations, Customer Service, etc.).
  • Ability to see the big picture, think long-term, and align portfolio decisions with business objectives.
