Portfolio Lead Job Description

This Portfolio Lead role is a key position in our organization, responsible for overseeing the management of our Commercial Property Portfolio. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading product management, strategic planning, and revenue generation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Product Management & Revenue Generation
  • Assist in setting financial plans and strategies to ensure objectives are achieved - full vision and input into forecasts and actuals.
  • Communicate and implement agreed strategies within business areas.
  • Review underperforming products, complete analysis, and develop remediation plans as required.
  • Continuously review existing product offerings against competitors to assess competitiveness, features, and customer feedback.
  • Review potential new additional covers and revenue generation opportunities.
  • Review KPIs, carry out account performance reviews, including triangulations, loss ratios, and predictions, and communicate to senior teams.
  • Report on monthly progress, clearly identifying reasons for any difference in plan and progress on strategic plans.

Client Satisfaction & Key Relationship Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with all business partners.
  • Agree strategic plans with stakeholders to ensure clear expectations on KPIs.
  • Review strategic plans regularly and actual performance with stakeholders.
  • Act as a product manager, setting rating structures and reviewing product offerings.
  • Track market trends and external factors affecting products and performance.

Compliance & Operations
  • Ensure daily service levels are met or exceeded, reviewing business processes for efficiencies.
  • Liaise with internal and external providers to approve and apply system changes.
  • Hold regular meetings with operations and sales team leads to ensure sales and service levels are met.
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and regulatory requirements.

People Management
  • Support planning for resource allocation.
  • Facilitate professional development of key staff members by monitoring performance and identifying improvement areas.
  • Communicate strategies and actual performance to teams regularly.

Requirements:
  • CIP qualification.
  • Previous experience managing a large commercial property portfolio.
  • Proactive, flexible, and willing to grow the business.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and thrive in a changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel.
