Healthcare professionals are sought to provide assistance and support to residents in a nursing home setting.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working within a caring environment, be able to communicate effectively at all levels, and possess the ability to work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with provision of care to residents, ensuring their dignity and individuality are maintained.
- Support clients with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other aspects of daily living.
- Pay particular attention to assisting clients who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties.
- Monitor clients who may be confused or have behavioral problems.
- Assist in the promotion of continence and delivery of care for clients who are dying or have a progressive illness.
- Interact with clients and help them continue with hobbies and activities in the care centre.
- Answer nurse call system and respond accordingly.
- Report on the wellbeing of clients and carry out regular checks at intervals determined by senior staff members.
- FETEC/NFQ 5 or equivalent qualification
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Willingness to be a team player
