Key Roles and Responsibilities:

The Design and Analysis Development Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving innovation by working closely with the CompositesLab team to develop cutting-edge composite technologies and products. Key responsibilities include top-level design and system engineering, CAD modeling and design, FE modeling, analysis, and optimization. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting up and improving design, analysis, and optimization procedures.

A Master's degree in engineering (aerospace or mechanical), combined with 2-6 years of relevant work experience and expertise in fiber-reinforced composite materials and structures, is essential for this position. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of design and optimization methods, analytical and numerical, from conceptual design to detailed optimization methods. Experience with FE model setup and analysis and optimization, preferably of composites, is also highly desirable.

Additional key responsibilities include supporting design for manufacturing activities, participating in manufacturing of components, supporting or partaking in testing of components, preparing business proposals, organizing, performing and supervising various research activities, and interfacing with customers as part of projects or business development.
