Kayfoam, part of Leggett & Platt's International Bedding group, is searching for a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the International Spring facility in Dublin, Ireland. This leading bed manufacturer operates within the independent and group retail sectors.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring products and processes meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. The role involves analyzing production data, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating cross-functionally to implement quality processes and initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and managing the Quality Management system in line with ISO 9001 implementation.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Leading internal and external audits; ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Collaborating with production, product development and engineering teams to improve processes and resolve quality issues.
- Maintaining documentation and preparing reports for quality metrics and trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in quality management or quality engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or similar role.
- Experience with ISO standards and implementation of ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, Lean).
- Proficiency in quality inspection tools and statistical software.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
