Software Automation Expert Sought

We are in search of a seasoned automation professional to contribute to our Quality Assurance Infrastructure team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a solid software testing foundation, enabling them to effectively develop, deliver, and support the software infrastructure that facilitates automated product validation.

This role requires creating comprehensive test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specifications documents for product features of moderate complexity, necessitating a thorough understanding of the system's intricacies.

The successful candidate will maintain automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing, ensuring seamless execution of these processes.

Additionally, this position involves interpreting results of automation tests and documenting software defects in an issue tracking system.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the Scrum master, product owner, architect, business analysts, product specialists, developers, and other project team members to facilitate effective software quality responsibilities within the Scrum team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specifications documents.
  • Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Interpret results of automation tests and document software defects in an issue tracking system accurately.
  • Provide expert testing guidance by identifying opportunities for improvement in the Scrum team's QA methodology.
  • Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to established CRD Scrum methodologies.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff in proper creation of automated test scripts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics, or other technical course of study or Business with an MIS background.
  • MS degree strongly preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing in a process-driven technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience programming with C#, SQL, and shell scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation tests with Silk4 Net strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical test plans.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
